Off to 2nd grade! September 2009

Where does the time go? Brennen is now 7 and in the 2nd grade. I am just amazed that already have a 2nd grader. I am pretty sure he was just in preschool. *SIGH* I am so thankful he is the confident, independent, enthusiastic kid that he is, it makes the first day of school so much easier.

Our Day with Our Friend Payal- September 2009

Our dear friend, Payal, spent a wonderful day with me and the kids before her big move to another state. We took the kids to Boulevard park to explore and play. Payal has a very special place in our hearts as both Payal and her mother have cared for and loved each one of my kids since for the past 7 1/2 years (since Brennen was 6 weeks old). Payal is one of the main reasons we have attended the gym that we do. We miss your sunshine and love, Payal!

Louie and Laura's Wedding

Thank you to Louie and Laura for getting married. Louie and Phil have been friends for over 30 years and we have just been waiting for the right lady to come along. Finally, Laura came into Lou's life and what a great couple they make! Thanks to their amazing day I had the chance to dress my entire family in some nice clothes, enjoy a beautiful wedding and the grounds where it was held, get a cute family pic or two, and appreciate my husband in a tux again. What a great day! My kids were excited to see "Uncle" Louie get married and now they have a new "Auntie." So great!

Seattle Aquarium August 2009

We spent a fun-filled day at the Seattle Aquarium followed by a quick trip to Gas Works Park. The Kids had a great time and we had a wonderful family day.

Camping- The Methow River August 2009

In August 2009, we went camping with our good friends the McKays and the Meaghers. With 8 kids between us, the river, treasure hunts, rafting, bird hunting, campfire, baseball, soccer, and treasure hunting were all great diversions. We had a great time and hope to do it again next year.

4th of July 2009

We seem to have a tradition of 4th of July at our house. This is, of course, due to the fact that it is also Rylan's birthday. We have been lucky enough to have the Meaghers join us every year. It is great fun for the boys to have some of their closest friends spend the day with them. It's also not such a bad deal for Phil and I since we kind of like hanging with Mike and Lisa.
