What a difference a week makes!

Last Wednesday Emery went in to the doctor for a weight check. She was down to 7 lbs. 2 ounces from her birth weight of 7lbs. 12 ounces. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I had Mastitis and Emery was feeding really sporadically. She seems to be more of a power eater compared to her brothers so she is done much quicker than the boys ever were. This has taken some getting used to as I always worry about whether she has had enough to eat. She has given us a couple of 4 or 5 hour stretches at night too! So we went to the Doctor on Friday for her two week check (yes, she will be 2 weeks old already on Monday!) . Emery weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 ounces. I guess I don't need to worry if she is getting enough since she put on over a pound in a week. The doctor said they are happy when most baby's are back to birth weight and then he referred to her as a "chow hound." I guess I will stop worrying and enjoy the 6 hour stretch she gave me the other night. :)
