Rylan had his 3 year-old well check and most of the appointment consisted of discussing his cracked and bloody feet along with his rashy skin. The poor kid seems to be having a terrible time with the grass (hence the feet). We (the Pediatrician and I) decided it would be good to visit the Allergist before his regular fall check-up to see if we can make him more comfortable. We actually managed to get in to see Dr. Scott (our beloved Allergist) that day. We had a lot of discussion about his meds and that fact that he already receives the full arsenal. There isn't much more we can put him on except for a drug that is linked to Lymphoma and Leukemia. Ummm....no thanks! So we are back to allergy testing to see if we can identify his triggers. This has failed us in the past because he is so young. He will be tested for about 15 things on August 13th including grass, cat and dog (which we already know but want to see how severe it is), trees, dairy, wheat, eggs, and a few others. It should be tons of fun for all of us. We will keep you posted!
